Skin Problem On Young piggies

Skin Problem on Guinea Pig are very common especially when their young. Guinea Pig have sensitive skin, that why their prone to Fungal and Parasitic problem ( hence used in cosmetic testing). We at Tobyfarm has encounter this problem many time already, so we like to share our remedy on curing it Tobyfarm style.

1. Determine the problem, look for other Gpig are they share the same problem?
2. Quarantine Infected Gpig in separated cages.
3.Treat them using baby oil or Vaseline cream (fungal  or parasite only).
4. Bathe them once a week.
5. Feed them Grass (rumput kerbau) constantly.
6. Make sure their home cages are kept clean at all time.

Update on Tow only Baby

Almost two month past, Tow give birth to only one little piggy...

Some skin problem are normal for young piggy.
Just put some baby oil to the effected area and repeat until it is cured, or just bathe them with medication shampoo..

Guinea Pig can live as long as 9 years depends on how you take care for them, Tow is just 2 years old so she have a lot of time to take care of her grand children..

Although Guinea pig can live til 9 years the average age is 5 - 7 years. It's all depends on how you to take care of them.

So if you're planning to take one home, decision have to be made carefully.

A healthy piggy must have proper diet, water, medical care and companionship.

A Healthy start can make for enjoyable company for many years.
